📚 Bookworm Buddies Playgroups

Bookworm Buddies is our signature weekly program at Literacy Kid Lounge — where little learners (ages 1–5) explore books, music, movement, crafts, and sensory play alongside their grown-ups. Each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) runs for a set number of months, grouped by age and day of the week.

Whether you’re brand new to storytime or looking for a consistent rhythm in your week, Bookworm Buddies offers connection, creativity, and community.

🧸 What You’ll Experience Each Week:

  • 📖 Read-alouds with Sarah (aka Literacy Lady PDX!)

  • 🎨 Hands-on crafts & literacy-based play

  • 🎶 Songs, movement, and sensory exploration

  • 🚌 Seasonal field trips to support the stories we explore

  • 🤝 Connection with other families & caregivers

  • 💡 A rhythm that helps little ones thrive through play and routine

🌼 Program Overview

  • 👶 Ages 1–5

  • 🧍‍♀️ Caregiver must attend and participate

  • 📅 Classes run in Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer

  • ⏰ 45 minutes per class, once a week
