Join us for a joyful morning celebrating creativity and community at the Words + Wonders Kid Market!
This special event invites kids ages 16 and under to bring their handmade creations to sell—think crafts, art, jewelry, baked goods, or other imaginative items.
We have space for 8 young makers. If more than 8 kids sign up, we’ll start a wait list and contact families as spots open up. There is room for one maker and a guest (grown up) please only sign up for the maker once. Caregivers do not need to fill out a separate form.
Each participant is responsible for managing their own sales (cash or a personal Venmo code works great). Tables and setup time are provided.

Wandering Monster Presents: Lil’ Delvers at Literacy Kids Lounge + Bookshop | Friday November 21st | 3-5pm PST |
Wandering Monster is thrilled to announce we are partnering with the wonderful Literacy Kids Lounge + Bookshop to run a whimsically fun one-shot adventure using the ENNIE award winning rpg Land of Eem on Friday, November 21st. Come with a sense of adventure, Wandering Monster will provide all the tools and trinkets needed to play this game (we’re talking character sheets and dice). The best part? It’s absolutely free! Space is limited, so sign up now!
This adventure is intended for younger players Ages 6-12 with some assistance to help with reading comprehension. As per Literacy Kids Lounge policy, caregivers must remain on the premises with their children – so why not join in the fun?

Mama Maker Craft Night
Join us for a special third Saturday for Mama Maker craft night. Bring a project you have been wanting to start or have been working on for way too long.
This event is free, but RSVP is required! :)
Kids Clothing + Book + Food Drive
Join us for a Kids’ Clothing & Book Swap on November 2 from 10 AM to noon at the Literacy Kid Lounge + Bookshop!
Bring your gently used clothes and/or books to exchange with other families. Clothing sizes range from newborn to teen. Please bring only items that are clean, free of holes, and in good condition—the kind you’d be happy to take home yourself.
We’ll have a play area set up for the kids, and everything will be organized by size for easy browsing.
We’ll also be collecting nonperishable items for our community food drive.
Suggested food drive items:
Peanut butter
Pasta (GF or regular)
Granola bars
Instant rice
Cereal
Canned fruit (not in syrup)
Canned beans (kidney, chickpea, black, red, refried)

Not So Scary Storytime Event (Halloween day)
JOin us for a not so spooky storytime celebration BEFORE YOU GO TRICK - OR -TREATING! We will dance to Not so spooky music, read stories and create some adorable monster themed crafts. Play in the literacy kid lounge is also included. the event will end with a halloween themed ballooon drop, because why not? wear your costume!

The Dad Collective is a welcoming playgroup for anyone who identifies as a dad and their kiddos. It’s a space to connect with other dads, share stories, and let the little ones have fun in a safe, playful environment. Join us as we clean out our garage, back room and all the spaces in between! All proceeds will go to bringing more access to the Bookworm Buddies Playgroups, book donations and community events at the Literacy Kid Lounge.
